I offer relaxed and friendly workshops teaching the basics of linocut printmaking, including how to transfer your design to the lino block, carving, inking up the block and printing by hand. By the end of the session you will be able to print a small single colour edition of your design.
All skill levels are welcome, with no previous experience necessary. It is also a good refresher, so if like the many people I meet at craft markets and fairs you tried lino printing at school but haven’t done it for a while, why not come and give it a go and get your skills up to scratch!
Alongside my public workshops, I also offer private sessions - perfect for parties, private events, or just getting creative with friends.
Katy did a great job of helping us all create a print we were really proud of. She supported us to work at our own pace and was full of helpful suggestions and tips. It was a relaxed and fun morning – would definitely recommend. Thank you Katy!
Such a great morning. Katy made the process really accessible and helped us through each step. It was really fun to be able to produce such lovely art together as a family.
I enjoyed how well Katy explained it and I understood what to do. I am so happy with my picture. I wouldn’t change a thing about it!
I really enjoyed it. I liked how I could do anything! I’m going to frame my picture.
Thank you for the wonderful workshop today! We all had great fun and are really pleased with our designs! You talked us through the process so well and made it easy to understand the different stages. Your expertise shone though. I’d love to come again and will be telling lots of people how great it was.
Thanks again, Fiona
Katy’s workshop was a wonderful few hours of mindful headspace, learning a creative and calming new skill. I loved experimenting with how to create different effects on the Lino and was really happy with my finished piece. I can’t wait for the next one! Thank you Katy.
The atmosphere was calm and relaxing punctuated towards the end with lots of excited ‘oohs and ahs’ as we inked and printed out art work.
