Delivery
Please note I currently ship to the UK only. If you are interested in making a purchase from Letters & Lino and are based outside the UK, please get in touch to discuss this with me.
I use Royal Mail to deliver all goods. There are several price brackets depending on the size and weight of the items, and I offer the choice between first or second class, and tracked 24/48:
Royal Mail 2nd Class (offers compensation up to £20)
Shipping class: Letter – A5 Prints, Greetings Cards: £1.75
Shipping class: Large Letter – A4 Prints: £2.35
Shipping class: Small Parcel – A3 Prints: £5.85
Royal Mail 1st Class (offers compensation up to £20)
Shipping class: Letter – A5 Prints, Greetings Cards: £2.50
Shipping class: Large Letter – A4 Prints: £3.95
Shipping class: Small Parcel – A3 Prints: £6.95
Tracked 48 (offers compensation up to £150)
Shipping class: Large Letter – A4 Prints: £3.60
Shipping class: Small Parcel – A3 Prints: £6.00
Tracked 24 (offers compensation up to £150)
Shipping class: Large Letter – A4 Prints: £4.50
Shipping class: Small Parcel – A3 Prints: £7.10
Please note the above prices include packaging materials. You will be charged for the largest/heaviest item in your order – for example, if you order an A3 print and a greetings card, and opt for second class, your shipping will cost £5.85.
Royal Mail standard class (first or second class) offers compensation up to the value of £20. To receive tracking details and to ensure eligibility for compensation for up to £150, please select the Tracked option at checkout. Please note I cannot be held responsible for items greater than £20 in value that are damaged in transit unless the Tracked option has been chosen.
Tracking
If you opt for the Tracked delivery service, or if your order is over £50 and therefore has qualified for tracked shipping, you will be sent a tracking number via email once your item has been dispatched.
You can track your order on the Royal Mail website. Please note you may be required to sign for the delivery.
Free delivery for all orders over £50
All orders over £50 qualify for free shipping and will be sent Royal Mail Tracked 24. Simply add items to your basket to the value of £50 or more and this shipping method will automatically be applied, free of charge.
Processing times
Orders placed by 4pm will be dispatched the next working day (Monday – Saturday). This excludes personalised items (those with calligraphy or custom colour choices), for which the processing time is 2-3 weeks.
Shop Closure / Holiday Period
There will be the odd occasion where my shop is closed due to holiday. This will be communicated on the banner at the top of the website and new processing times will be included.
Packaging
All orders are packaged with care and best efforts to protect the goods inside, while also attempting to minimise the impact on the environment. Greetings cards are packed in a hard backed envelope which is fully recyclable. Prints are packed with grey board in a cello wrap (to protect against moisture damage) and then inside a recyclable hard backed envelope. Prints are sent flat and are not rolled for postage.
Damaged items
In the unlikely event your order is damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days and send photos and details of the damage caused, to assist me in claiming compensation from the Royal Mail. If your item(s) were sent via standard class then compensation up to the value of £20 is provided. If your item(s) were sent via the Tracked service then compensation up to the value of £150 is provided. I will do my best to provide a replacement as soon as possible. In the instance that the item(s) you ordered are no longer in stock you may either choose alternative items (to the value of your original order), or a full refund.
Returns
Regretfully, as a small one woman business I am unable to offer refunds or exchanges on items deemed unsuitable.
All best efforts have been made to show the artwork in a true light and several images are provided to help show a true likeness, but please be mindful of the fact that different screens may display certain colours differently.
The very nature of linocut also means that slight variations may occur in each print, but this is what gives the artwork its charm – it is handmade, not digitally printed. Please rest assured that I only select the best prints to include in each limited edition – any with flaws will not be included. I mix a lot of my colours by hand, so again, slight variations may occur.
All my prints are sold unframed and without mounts. Any frames pictured are for illustrative purposes only.
Amending an Order
If you would like to amend an order then please let me know as soon as possible. If your order has already been dispatched then unfortunately I will not be able to amend it.
Aftercare
To help protect the longevity of your print, please hang or display your artwork out of direct sunlight, in a room that does not suffer with drastic temperature changes or humidity.
